The Sweater Project

When the temperatures plunge, we crank up the heat or don a heavy sweater. Thousands of Afghan children who work on the streets to support their families don’t have that luxury. They suffer terribly from the freezing elements.

ZAANHA Fund organized a group of Afghan women to buy yarn (gives business to local merchants), knit a sweater (gives income to the women) and then gift a working street child with a warm new sweater.
